When a flame falls upon treated material, Safezone® acts as an interdiction agent. In other words, it interferes with the chemistry of combustion by limiting the release of free radicals which is part of the flame chemistry process. The overall result is that treated materials are prevented from acting as fuel for the fire. Consequently, the fire is contained and will not readily spread.
